Walking at work

When I had an office job in the early 2000s I would make a point of getting outside and walking around the parking lot once every day as long as it wasn't raining. It was refreshing and helped me clear my head. I took a lot of ribbing from co-workers that thought it was stupid or too hot but I continued walking. I enjoyed it!

Now I see lots of people out there walking around the parking lot. I see millennials, people younger than them, and many of the people that made fun of me out there now.

I find it amusing to have been ahead of my time with this!

The bathroom questions

I'm a red-blooded male American. I have questions now that things have gotten so confused:

- Which bathroom am I supposed to use?
Many establishments left things the way they were, but I feel a little guilty just going to the men's bathroom if I'm supposed to be doing something else.

- Can I use the other bathroom?
I've done this several times already. When no women were around I've ducked into the women's bathroom and used it. I thought it was supposed to be nicer, but with all the hovering and prissy-ness it seemed a little dirtier in the women's restroom. Hmmm

- Can I just go outside?
This would be a true expression of freedom of choice, but health standards are such that outdoor urination and defecation are considered unhealthy for a community. Though San Francisco is learning a lot more about that than they wanted to.

Those are my questions. I guess I'll continue doing what I was doing until I learn something else...

Spring activities

As an American I look forward to Spring. New growth, new opportunities, new, new, new.

Festivals and carnivals come out in the Spring, too. Fun games, money-losing opportunities, the chance to be with a spouse, family, or friends doing fun things. Ah, spring!

As the season heats up it gets the excitement of opportunity going, too. People go out and look for jobs, start new side hustles like pressure washing or mowing lawns, all sorts of things happen that are all-American.

I enjoy getting outside. After being wrapped up and cooped up for winter it's nice to feel the sun and wind on my skin and smell the grass and leaves in the yard. It's nice to see all the bees buzzing, birds flitting, and all the animals things that happen to make spring fun.

Ah, spring!
