I read a story about NASA coming up with a way to filter air so that they could create a food source from thin air.
This is American ingenuity at work. One of the wonders of what we do as Americans as we take what's available and we come up with new and novel ways to use them. Here is around us all of the time, and doesn't go away. And yet these scientists work together to come up with a way to use air as if it was water and to strain it and gather the particles from it so that they could actually create food from the air.
The article talks about how the substance is a lot like flower and can be used in food.

I'm not sure how this will be used in the future, and I'm kinda curious what the save the planet people will say when they find out that there's a way to clean the air. And I'm sure there are ramifications if they were to scale this up into a large operation that we would discover that taking the particulates out of the air would have a negative impact on some creature or group of creatures that would throw the entire planet out of balance. But it's a great demonstration of American ingenuity.
