Positive versus negative comments are said to have a 10 to 1 weight ratio. When you encourage people to attend positive comments supposedly can be wiped out by one negative comment. That's why negative things seem to be so powerful.
If you'll notice, the press stays negative. The press reports the negative people. Political commercials tend to stay negative.
What I would like to see is a company follow the advertising method that politicians follow. Companies have opponents. Companies are trying to defeat other companies in the business of making a profit. Someone ago I slam everything else all right and win by being negative just like the politicians do?
It's because the positive is so much better and so much more powerful in the long run. Yes, in the short run negative works. But in the long run positive always wins.
Keep that in mind as you consume things online and the through whatever media you are looking at. That sweet morsel of negativity will lose.
