One of the hardest things to watch is so many people talk about America or better the United states of America not being good or great. They put down a country that is made up of 50 individual countries that banded together as one united states of America in order to promote and offer liberty and freedom to anyone willing to, and work.
COVID-19 coronavirus is the hot subject of the year. And while I understand the issues surrounding it I don't understand why people are dogging my country for so many cases. Our freedom and openness allows for people to move about the country freely. And so of course as we spool up testing and increase awareness I am not surprised that we have more reported cases of this new and possibly manufactured virus. Countries that are closed like Cuba or some of the African nations are reporting little to no virus issues with COBIT 19. That's because they don't go anywhere and they have no exposure to outside entities. Other than at the ports which are tightly controlled. Or at the airports where everybody is watched and controlled. But they don't have freedom or liberty. And so they don't have an opportunity to spread this not very deadly virus.
America has been great since it was founded. But the use of that term great is subject to your interpretation. When I say great in this conversation I mean open, opportunity laden, and vast. We have so many places in our country where people can do things that I get so tired of hearing about New York and California. We have pockets of people that are doing great things that go unreported because they happen to be a small community.
American greatness goes beyond just the small communities. We project our power into any part of the world with the ease. It does not go without major effort, but when our needs lead Navy ships go into an area other countries pay attention. I love it when stories come back after a death disaster like a tsunami or hurricane and one of our aircraft carriers pulled up to the port and instead of taking advantage of weakness and taking over the country like so many others have done in the past we plug in our nuclear reactor into their electrical grid and we start rolling out supplies and generators and people in order to help with the cleanup and the standing up of the community or even a country after a disaster. That is American greatness to me.
With all of the excitement over COVID-19 how many countries have offered to come and help mine?
So when you put down the United States of America and say it was never great you're insulting me as well as all other red-blooded Americans. Be careful, be very careful with what you say and do after that.
